hguipf This is the most metal bass clarinet quartet out there, folks. It would be hard to overstate how much I love this album. Trust me, you will love it too. As a bonus, the CD packaging is great - the artist clearly put some attention into this thing. Bravo, Mr. Boots! Favorite track: Moira the Warrior.

xhrl_ Edmund Welles Quartet invent and perform heavy chamber music. Drawing precision from the classical realm; innovation from jazz; and power, rhythm and overall perspective from metal, the quartet’s sound is characterized by a thickness of tone and absolute rhythmic precision. Here there is an Iron Maiden cover and some Floyd. But most is their original compositions. Thematically this LP serves us a warning. Favorite track: When I Woke Up, Everyone Was Gone.

Carsten Pieper Apocalyptica gone reeds or something. Mostly originals, one Iron Maiden cover ("Hallowed Be Thy Name", with vocals) and the ending of "When I Woke Up, Everyone Was Gone" makes good use of the majestic chord progression of "Saucerful of Secret" by the Floyd (my all-time favourite band, yep!) Favorite track: Moira the Warrior.
