It’s very cloudy and wet outside from lots of rain. Elsie--a shepherd mix--blinks unenthusiastically from the front porch and lingers between the dry indoor warmth and the chilled damp of the grass. A purgatory of emotions underscores this microcosm of inevitable transitions from relative comfort to a larger realm of uncontrollable parameters. An Edmund Welles power-ballad.
