Movement One of the first bass clarinet quartet multi-movement work by Cornelius Boots, An Apicultural Excursion which led to the founding of bass clarinet quartet Edmund Welles (1999-2014).

Inspired by bees and the low C bass clarinet itself in addition to Lenny Pickett, Eddie Harris, Fishbone, Eric Dolphy, Duke Ellington and Primus.

The imagined experiences of a beekeeper and his bees.
